At Fire Doors London we are certified installers of Fire Rated Doors, more commonly known as Fire Doors. We also make Non Fire Rated Doors, known as standard doors – but what’s the difference?
In a nutshell, a Fire Rated door helps keep people and property safe in the event of a fire. Many people think that you just find these on the outside of the building, but actually you’ll find Fire Doors inside too – because it’s a requirement by legislation!
Our team of experts have compiled a handy guide on all of the legislations you need to be aware of, particularly if you own a HMO (House of Multiple Occupations), block of flats, building that’s over three stories, or are the person responsible for fire safety at your work place.
There’s a wide range of Fire Rated doors that we offer, the standard being FD30 [30 Minute Protection] or FD60 [60 Minute Protection] – all of which can be made with a range of finishes and looks, dispelling the myth of those big metallic exit doors… although we do those too!
By comparison, a Non Fire Rated door has no level of fire protection – you’ll usually find these in places like living rooms, internal offices, cupboards and more. experienced, qualified engineers who use durable and sustainable materials. Our dedicated

Our Headstocks range is our most popular product when it comes to offices and meeting rooms. With just the one aperture placed in the top half of the door, this provides a professional feel and helps bring natural light into a room.
The Headstocks range is a rectangular shape aperture measuring 800mm in height and contains three variations, central which sits in the middle of the door, offset full – fitting above the handle measuring the same size as the central option, and offset thin – again fitting above the handle in a more streamlined narrower width.

Similar to the Headstocks Range, the Brierley range gives you a little bit extra – providing two apertures for your door, the top aperture measures 800mm in height, whilst the bottom aperture is half the size at 400mm height for that professional mirrored look.
Commonly used for offices, meeting rooms, canteens, school classrooms and coridors – the Brierley range brings natural light into the room and comes with three standard variations, central which sits in the middle of the door, offset full – fitting above the handle measuring the same size as the central option, and offset thin – again fitting above the handle in a more streamlined narrower width.

Our Bentinck Range is the most popular for corridors, connecting doors and classrooms. With a full length aperture measuring 1200mm in height, it’s perfect for saftey when there’s big footfall flowing through coridors – whilst still maintaining a professional feel and bringing in natural daylight.
Again in three standard styles, the central aperture sits in the middle of the door – whilst the offset full and thin variations sit on the same side as the handle but to the side, rather than above and below in the Headstocks and Brierley range.

Silver Hill Range - Duo
Our Silver Hill range includes our standard blank door, which you can have built bespoke to your requirements. The range also includes the traditional square 400x400mm apertures, with the solo product sitting in the top half of the door, whilst the duo provides a mirrored effect.
