Lever handle doors are the most common type of doors, as they’re used for pretty much everything!

From offices and store rooms, to hotels and classrooms – level handle doors can be either fire rated or non-fire rated and can be fitted with a range of accessories to help with design, ease of use and accessibility.

There are a number of combinations that can be used for lever handle doors with the standard three being singular, leaf & half, and double doors as illustrated below. Each door is standard to our Silver Hill range – blank design, but can be adapted to a range of other designs to include a vision panel dependant on their intended setting.

Lever Handle: Singular

Operation: This door example is locked/unlocked from the outside using a key, and from the inside using a thumbturn.

Singular Lever Handle Doors are used in most settings, from offices and hotels to kitchens and storerooms. Available in both fire rated and non-fire rated form, it is the responsibility of the building manager (or person responsible) to know which to order, however our team are always on hand to advise.

The single door design can come as a solid blank door (Silver Hill Range – Blank) or with a vision panel, and can also feature a number of additional accessories (not illustrated) such as closers and air grilles.

Leaf & Half Doors are great for those areas that have a little more space and can really help to make your premises stand out, for example a hotel reception area or a larger meeting room.

Available in both fire rated and non-fire rated form, Leaf & Half Doors come with a range of accessories dependant on where you wish the doors to be fitted, and how you’d like them to operate – speak to our team for more information.

Lever Handle: Double

Operation: This door example is locked/unlocked from the both sides using a key, and whilst not illustrated – handles [figure 7] would be on both sides of both doors. The left hand image represents pull top open, the right hand image represents the opposite.

Double Doors are perfect for those wider spaces with examples including hospital ward entrances, function rooms and storerooms.

Dependant on the setting you choose for this style door, they can be fire rated or non-fire rated – it is the responsibility of the building manager (or person responsible) to know which to order, however our team are always on hand to advise.

Double Doors are the most common for accessorising with vision panels, air grilles, closers, automatic closers and more dependent on use and operational intention. Speak to our team for further information.
